LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE, JOIN OURS
Welcome to Lower Thames Rowing Club.

We are a community rowing club based in the lower reaches of the Thames Estuary at Two Tree Island in Leigh-on-Sea. Our club is made up of local residents and run by local volunteers.

Our fleet of rowing boats includes a Cornish pilot gig, a sculling gig, Spirit gigs and Celtic longboats.

We are lucky enough to row all year round, midweek and weekends. There is a busy calendar of rowing events to suit a range of abilities and interests, ranging from short leisurely rows along Benfleet Creek to endurance rows seaward to Whitstable and even rows further afield along the Canal du Midi in France.

As well as putting on our own rowing events, we take part in local, regional and national races, including the Nelson Cup and The Great River Race, where we feel a part of a wider rowing community.

At the heart of our club is a sense of adventure.

Membership is open to new and experienced rowers through our ‘Learn to Row’ and ‘FastTrack’ programmes. Our LTR programme is headed by British Rowing certified coaches; LTRC is affiliated with British Rowing.

If you are interested in rowing with us, please contact us.

We look forward to seeing you on the water.
